New Closer Ranks!!!

We have some updates and movement but still have 8 situations in question. The ranks spell it all out for you so take a look.

Lab Ranks (#)🧪

Tier 1 - The Two Best (8/11)

  1. Mason Miller (#1)
  2. Bryan Baker (#7)

No change here as these two just keep justifying their ranking.

Tier 2 - Pretty Much Studs (8/11)
3. Jhoan Duran (#2)
4. Josh Hader (#3)
5. Aroldis Chapman (#6)
6. Cade Smith (#10)
7. David Bednar (#9)
8. Raisel Iglesias (#12)
9. Trevor Megill (#5)
10. Andrés Muñoz (#4)
11. Louis Varland (#11)
12. Jacob Latz (#8)
13. Riley O'Brien (#15)

This group pretty much stayed the same. Iglesias and Bednar flip flopped due to Iggy's struggles and ROB has joined the group. These guys are all very good options to close out the game.

Tier 3 The Mids (8/11)
14. Emilio Pagán (#13)
15. Pete Fairbanks (#14)
16. Edwin Díaz (#16)
17. Yoendrys Gomez (#39)

This week Devin Williams departed the group with a trip to the IL. Gomez has been bumped up due to his success and him keeping the job. Diaz remains but he has struggled to work off the rust.

Tier 4 The Single Sick Pups (8/11)
18. Kenley Jansen (#20)
19. Hogan Harris (#28)
20. Clayton Beeter (#29)
21. Jordan Romano (#57)
22. Dylan Smith (#26)

Dangerous group but all seem to have the job. You can pretty much expect a blown save every other week. Top two are in pretty good condition and the next three have struggled this week.

Tier 5 Two Man Sick Pup Groups (8/11)
23. Luke Weaver (#22)
23a. Mason Montgomery (#20)
24. Brandyn Garcia (#19)
24a. Kevin Ginkel (#66)
25. Andrew Kittredge (#33)
25a. Yennier Cano (#25)
26. Samy Natera Jr. (#35)
26a. Ben Joyce (#31)
27. Jacob Webb (#21)
27a. Ryan Zeferjahn (#27)
28. Steven Cruz (#24)
28a. Nate Pearson (#82)
29. Kodai Senga (#99)
29a. Daniel Duarte (#89)

The two man sick pups is the largest group of the week. I like the top guy in each. I do actually feel pretty good about the two listed as the most likely to see saves most nights. NYM situation seems like it could be a mess. The CHC guys are here since Palencia should be back this week and change that up. Lets hope we finally see a save chance in PIT.

Tier 6 The Swamp (8/11)
30. Grant Taylor (#18)
30a. Sean Newcomb (#41)
30b. Huascar Brazoban (#44)
30c. Bryan Hudson (#38)

The Swamp is down to one. Grant Taylor is the best reliever here and if they decided to use him in the 9th he would be great. Since they don't pretty much everyone else in the bullpen joins the mix. I was shocked to see them set up a game with Braz as the 9th inning man this week.
