New Closer Ranks!!!
Lab Ranks (#)🧪
Tier 1 - The Studs (7/7)
1. Mason Miller (#1)
2. Jhoan Duran (#2)
3. Cade Smith (#5)
The group remains the same after a slow week for all three guys.
Tier 2 - Top of The Line (7/7)
4. Raisel Iglesias (#12)
5. Josh Hader (#3)
6. Bryan Baker (#7)
7. Louis Varland (#4)
8. Aroldis Chapman (#13)
9. Jacob Latz (#6)
10. David Bednar (#11)
11. Andrés Muñoz (#9)
Hader is close to moving up a spot. It's been another week with very few chances so we see very little movement. Baker and Latz continue to impress me.
Tier 3 The Mids (7/7)
12. Trevor Megill (#8)
13. Riley O'Brien (#16)
14. Paul Sewald (#15)
15. Devin Williams (#14)
16. Pete Fairbanks (#18)
17. Alex Lange (#25)
18. Tanner Scott (#11)
Megill continues his climb. The rest of the group stayed pretty much in the same spot. I'm sure this will be unpopular but I put Lange ahead of Scott since we are a week closer to the impeding Diaz return.
Tier 4 The Single Sick Pups (7/7)
19. Emilio Pagán (#22)
20. Jacob Webb (#23)
21. Kenley Jansen (#20)
22. Caleb Kilian (#19)
23. Tyler Wells (#26)
The sick pups are just as sick as ever. Still need more from Pagan before I move him up. Kilian is has the next most security in his job. Webb has been good but not enough to move up. Kenley and Wells I need to see more from.
Tier 5 Two Man Sick Pup Groups (7/7)
24. Grant Taylor (#17)
24a. Sean Newcomb (#44)
25. Hogan Harris (#31)
25a. Mason Barnett (#45)
26. Jordan Romano (#65)
26a. Jimmy Herget (#85)
27. Sam Bachman (#36)
27a. Kirby Yates (#27)
This is why a kept the tier alive because it is back to the largest it has been. Sickening to see Romano back but he picked up a save and is a closer. The White Sox guys are the bulk duo. The other two teams suck so who knows. The top guy is the one I think has the edge.
Tier 6 The Swamp (7/7)
28. Yoendrys Gomez (#24)
28a. Andrew Morris (#30)
28b. Taylor Rogers (121)
29. Clayton Beeter (#29)
29a. PJ Poulin (#73)
29b. Orlando Ribalta (#117)
30. Dennis Santana (#66)
30a. Mason Montgomery (#54)
30b. Gregory Soto (#21)
I like Gomez and Beeter but the teams seem to prefer a committee. I have no idea what to think in PIT but at this point maybe Soto gets a chance again since he has been pitching outside the 9th.
