New Closer Ranks!!!

The ranks are back for another week. We have some changes and have cut down on the two man groups.

Lab Ranks (#)🧪

Tier 1 - The Two Best (8/18)

  1. Mason Miller (#1)
  2. Bryan Baker (#4)

The class of the NL and AL.

Tier 2 - Pretty Much Studs (8/18)
3. Jhoan Duran (#3)
4. Josh Hader (#2)
5. Aroldis Chapman (#8)
6. Cade Smith (#10)
7. David Bednar (#7)
8. Louis Varland (#6)
9. Raisel Iglesias (#16)
10. Trevor Megill (#9)
11. Andrés Muñoz (#5)
12. Jacob Latz (#11)
13. Riley O'Brien (#14)

Iggy keeps struggling and moving down. Varland and TOR are hot so he jumped. His numbers are still pretty mind blowing. Most of these guys could be ranked anywhere in this group once you pass Chapman since they are all very similar.

Tier 3 The Mids (8/18)
14. Emilio Pagán (#12)
15. Pete Fairbanks (#13)
16. Yoendrys Gomez (#21)
17. Kenley Jansen (#18)
18. Hogan Harris (#25)

Diaz drops from the mids but they gain Kenley and Hogan Harris. Both guys have cemented their roles in the 9th and while the opportunities are somewhat limited they have been converting. I don't hate any of the guys in this group.

Tier 4 The Single Sick Pups (8/18)
19. Jacob Webb (#15)
20. Kodai Senga (#31)
21. Steven Cruz (#24)
22. Edwin Díaz (#20)
23. Jordan Romano (#55)
24. Dylan Smith (#27)

I have no idea how to rank Diaz. He sucks but can you really move on when the team wont. You just have to bench him I think. Webb and Senga have been on fire and I want to move Webb up but just cant with Palencia supposed to return. Romano and Smith are high risk low reward.

Tier 5 Two Man Sick Pup Groups (8/18)
25. Brandyn Garcia (#22)
25a. Justin Martinez (#50)
26. Andrew Kittredge (#28)
26a. Rico Garcia (#37)
27. Ben Joyce (#26)
27a. Samy Natera Jr. (#32)
28. Mason Montgomery (#17)
28a. Luke Weaver (#23)

For now Garcia stays in the mix though I think Martinez wins the job by Sept. Situation is similar for the LAA though I do think Natera remains in the mix all year. Kitty should close for BAL but they like using him outside the 9th and who knows in PIT. It seems like Monty but we haven't seen a true chance in 2+ weeks.

Tier 6 The Swamp (8/18)
29. Clayton Beeter (#30)
29a. Yovanny Cruz (#72)
29b. Orlando Ribalta (#80)
30. Grant Taylor (#19)
30a. Sean Newcomb (#35)
30b. Bryan Hudson (#33)
30c. Huascar Brazoban (#81)

The Nats are out so I think they might give a couple chances in the 9th to guys besides Beeter not that they haven't being doing that anyway. The CHW remain the same with Taylor being the best option but anyone besides him seeing the 9th.
