New Closer Ranks!!!
Where is everyone stacking up this week?
LAB REPORTS
Lab Ranks (#)🧪
Tier 1 - The Studs (6/30)
1. Mason Miller (#1)
2. Jhoan Duran (#2)
3. Cade Smith (#3)
Same group but a little switch. Duran gets the nod over Smith though it remains very close.
Tier 2 - Top of The Line (6/30)
4. Raisel Iglesias (#11)
5. Josh Hader (#4)
6. Bryan Baker (#7)
7. Louis Varland (#5)
8. Aroldis Chapman (#8)
9. Jacob Latz (#6)
10. David Bednar (#10)
11. Andrés Muñoz (#15)
I cant hold Hader back anymore. He looks great and will probably keep moving up. Varland has slowed the slightest bit. Latz is moving up and Muñoz jumps back into the tier.
Tier 3 The Mids (6/30)
12. Paul Sewald (#14)
13. Riley O'Brien (#18)
14. Trevor Megill (#13)
15. Devin Williams (#12)
16. Pete Fairbanks (#16)
17. Tanner Scott (#9)
18. Alex Lange (#27)
Sewald is back to Mid and Megill is rising. Hopefully he continues to look good. I have to give Lange some credit so he is up as well. Scott has Diaz coming back this month I think so he really can't move up too much.
Tier 4 The Single Sick Pups (6/30)
19. Ryan Helsley (#19)
20. Emilio Pagán (N/A, IL)
21. Kenley Jansen (#20)
22. Jacob Webb (#31)
23. Caleb Kilian (#23)
24. Jimmy Herget (#77)
I have very little confidence in this group. Helsley and Pagán maybe but the rest are very dangerous.
Tier 5 Two Man Sick Pup Groups (6/30)
25. Hogan Harris (#28)
25a. Mason Barnett (#67)
I had to drop Alvarado to keep the tier alive. Don't let him turn into an afterthought because he might still be in the mix.
Tier 6 The Swamp (6/30)
26. Yoendrys Gomez (#24)
26a. Andrew Morris (#64)
26b. Taylor Rogers (N/A)
27. Sam Bachman (#33)
27a. Kirby Yates (#62)
27b. Samy Natera Jr. (N/A)
28. Clayton Beeter (#29)
28a. PJ Poulin (N/A)
28b. Orlando Ribalta (N/A)
29. Bryan Hudson (#57)
29a. Seranthony Domínguez (#25)
29b. Grant Taylor (N/A) In SP
30. Dennis Santana (N/A)
30a. Mason Montgomery (#80)
30b. Gregory Soto (#17)
Major additions to the Swamp. Gomez should be the closer but who knows what the manager is doing since his last two saves have been after another guy started the inning. The rest seem pretty wide open and PIT is looking like the CWS with Soto and Domínguez being out but no one else ready to takeover. Please let us find some structure this week
