New Closer Ranks!!!
Made some changes as I had to cut down on the Pretty Much Studs Tier. Some guys just haven't had the stuff lately. MIA thrown back into question.
Tier 1 - The Two Best (9/15)
- Mason Miller
- Bryan Baker
Still the class of the NL and AL. Baker looks better.
Tier 2 - Pretty Much Studs (9/15)
3. Josh Hader
4. Jhoan Duran
5. Aroldis Chapman
6. David Bednar
7. Louis Varland
8. Cade Smith
9. Raisel Iglesias
10. Trevor Megill
11. Jacob Latz
I had to drop Muñoz due to some recent struggles. The rest of the group continues to be solid. You really can't go wrong with any of these guys.
Tier 3 The Mids (9/15)
12. Andrés Muñoz
13. Mason Montgomery
14. Emilio Pagán
15. Yoendrys Gomez
16. Kenley Jansen
Mason Montgomery really could be in the top tier but he has only done it for about a month. Granted in that month he has easily been top 7. Kenley returns here while ROB drops out. I still like this group but they come with some risk.
Tier 4 The Single Sick Pups (9/15)
17. Tanner Scott
18. Riley O'Brien
19. Ben Joyce
20. Jacob Webb
21. Rico Garcia
22. Steven Cruz
23. Jordan Romano
24. Kodai Senga
ROB tumbles to this group. Scott hasn't done much but I do feel like him and Webb are still the closers. Garcia joins the group but both him and Senga's time could be limited with Helsley and Williams potentially back for the final week. High risk group prone to blowups.
Tier 5 Two Man Sick Pup Groups (9/15)
25. Elvis Alvarado
25a. Hogan Harris
26. Grant Taylor
26a. Bryan Hudson
27. Calvin Faucher
27a. Michael Petersen
28. Trent Harris
28a. Dylan Smith
The top guy seems like the better option for these next two groups. MIA and the SFG are interesting and more guys could be in the mix. Harris has pitched well. Who knows with the A's as it seems to switch weekly and Taylor and Hudson pitch late in Chicago.
Tier 6 The Swamp (9/15)
29. Juan Morillo
29a. Brandyn Garcia
29b. Kevin Ginkel
30. Erik Tolman
30a. Jack Sinclair
30b. Will Dion
ARI seems to like Morillo in the 9th but they still use multiple options. JMart isn't worth listing right now. No idea what the Nats are doing but Tolman has been pitching somewhat well late in the game. He and Sinclair seem like the L/R options but I still don't trust them to be the only ones who see save chances.
