Bryce Miller is better than your favorite pitcher.
I’m pretty sure nobody expected this. Especially after last season‘s horrific injury-marred ratios.
Bryce Miller’s last 4 starts: 0.50 WHIP
He’s not just limiting baserunners, he‘s allowing practically nobody to score runs, and striking out more than he ever has. In part, that’s due to increased velocity on his pitches, in part it’s due to increased stuff.
Either way, the guy is in a groove. Those that added him in March or April and waited out his return are likely the ones who have a roster full of these high upside lottery tickets. And they’re cashing them in as we speak.
