AL Bullpen Battles
Checking in on the AL
LAB REPORTS
AL Bullpen Battles ⚾️
Friday Breakdown. Short and sweet.
BAL
1. Andrew Kittredge
1a. Rico Garcia
1b. Yennier Cano
2. Ryan Helsley (IL)
I assume Helsley is hitting the IL. Rico's usage doesn't suggest the 9th. I think they go Kittredge leading a committee for a month and see who they can move. I don't like Cano in the 9th but he has been good enough for them to try him.
DET
1. Kenley Jansen
2. Anyone
Vest went on the IL and if we're being honest the bullpen sucks. Kenley should close but AJ Hinch is seemly trying to get canned with how he is using guys for 2 innings.
CWS
1. Bryan Hudson
1a. Grant Taylor
2. Jordan Hicks
2a. Seranthony Domínguez
I stand by Hudson. Taylor blew one last night. Hell at this point Hicks could be in the mix. Taylor is the best but they spin the wheel more often than not.
ATH
1. Hogan Harris
1a. Mason Barnett
2. Elvis Alvarado
The piggybacking relievers like they have done could keep the door open for Alvarado. For now we wait as they haven't had a save in over a week.
LAA
1. Sam Bachman
1a. Kirby Yates
2. Samy Natera Jr.
I think Bachman is the guy but they use him in big spots. I cant imagine Yates stays with the team all year but he is in the mix still. They like Natera and he could move up if either guy struggles.
MIN
1. Yoendrys Gomez
1a. Taylor Rogers
1b. Andrew Morris
Banda hit the IL so Rogers replaces him. If you are using a committee like they do you need to have a LHP. Gomez is the best option they don't seem to care.
